Tea Cake with Poppy Seeds

Ingredients:

Butter unsalted
550 gr
room temperature
Caster sugar
700 gr
salt
5 gr
Vanilla extract

Lemon zest

Orange zest

Plain flour
535 gr
Ground almond
500 gr
Baking powder
1/2 tsp
Poppy seeds
60 gr
Eggs

Preparation mode:

  1. Cream butter, sugar and salt
  2. Put vanilla with orange and lemon zest
  3. Add eggs in three stages
  4. Fold in all dry ingredients at once
  5. Divide in six tins by 535gr around
  6. Bake this tea cake at 165C for 35min
