Apple Pie – Lithuanian

Ingredients:

Eggs
5
Sour cream
500 gr
Caster sugar
500 gr
Baking powder
1 tsp
If soda, temper it with lemon juice
Apples, cleaned and sliced
1 kg
coated in cinammon
Flour
500 gr

Preparation mode:

1. Whip egg whites separately
2. Mix sour cream, sugar and egg yolks. Fold in to the whites
3. Fold in flour and baking powder
4. Gently mix with apples and leave some apple on top
5. Bake at 200C for 40 min
6. Once out of the oven cover with this sour cream topping
